Why two quotes for the same licence differ by AED 15,000

Almost never because one provider is cheaper. Usually because they are quoting different things. Here are
the seven items most commonly excluded from a headline figure.

The seven

  1. Document attestation. Notarisation, embassy legalisation, MOFA attestation and legal
translation. AED 1,500 for a simple file; AED 5,000 to AED 12,000 for a corporate shareholder with several
    documents.
  2. Establishment and immigration cards. AED 2,000 to AED 3,000, one-off per company, and
without them you cannot sponsor anybody.
  3. External regulator approvals. Municipality, health authority, KHDA, RERA, civil defence.
From AED 1,000 to AED 15,000 depending on the sector.
  4. Statutory audit. AED 5,000 to AED 15,000 a year where the zone requires it — or
where you want qualifying free zone tax status.
  5. Health insurance. Mandatory for every sponsored resident. AED 900 to AED 3,500 per person
    per year.
  6. Bank minimum balance. AED 25,000 to AED 150,000 tied up, or monthly shortfall fees.
  7. Year-two renewal. 65% to 85% of your first-year figure, and it arrives whether or not you
    have invoiced anyone.

Our company formation cost page includes all seven in the
breakdown, and our packages page lists the two published
prices.

Do You Need an Office to Start a Business in Dubai?

You may be able to start a business in Dubai without renting a private office. Some free-zone packages include a shared workspace, and Dubai’s official Instant Licence guidance describes a first-year virtual-site option for eligible activities. The normal mainland licence route, however, calls for a site lease contract. Your activity and chosen licensing route decide which arrangement you can use.

Dubai Company Setup Documents: Checklist by Founder Type

The documents required to start a business in Dubai depend on who owns the company, where it will be licensed and what it will do. An individual founder’s file differs from a corporate shareholder’s file. A branch needs evidence about its parent company, while a regulated activity can bring additional approvals.
