When you contact us through this website, by phone, by email or on WhatsApp, we collect the information you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the country you are writing from and whatever you tell us about your business plans.
If you become a client, we collect considerably more, because company formation requires it: passport copies, visa and immigration records, proof of address, qualifications, financial information and the documents that government authorities and banks require for identity verification and anti-money-laundering checks.
Our website collects standard technical information automatically — pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, browser type and referring source — through analytics tools.
To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote. To carry out the services you engage us for, including submitting applications to government authorities, free zones, banks and the Federal Tax Authority on your behalf. To meet our own legal obligations, including anti-money-laundering record keeping. And to send you service updates and, where you have consented, occasional regulation updates.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Government authorities and free zone registrars, where your application requires it. Banks and financial institutions, where you have asked us to introduce you. Independent auditors, insurers and legal counsel, where your instructions require their involvement. And our own service providers — hosting, email and document storage — under contracts requiring them to protect it.
We share only what is necessary for the purpose, and only with your knowledge.
For active clients, for the duration of the engagement and afterwards for as long as UAE law requires us to retain records — which for anti-money-laundering and tax purposes is generally at least five to seven years from the end of the relationship.
For enquiries that do not become engagements, we keep your details for up to twenty-four months unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, ask us to delete data we no longer have a lawful reason to keep, object to marketing at any time, and ask for a copy of your data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these, email info@emiratesbusineslounge.ae. We will respond within thirty days. Where we cannot delete something because a legal retention obligation applies, we will tell you which obligation and when it expires.
We hold client documents in access-controlled systems, restrict access to the staff working on your file, and require confidentiality undertakings from everyone who handles client data. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affected your data we would tell you.
